'Awkward Family Photos' to Become ABC Comedy Series

The critical mauling that '$#*! My Dad Says' has received in the last few weeks has obviously done nothing to deter TV execs from continuing to mine the Internet for TV gold. Next in line for the TV treatment is popular blog and book, 'Awkward Family Photos.'

As reported by TheLiveFeed, ABC has partnered with Sony Pictures to develop a comedy based on the book version, but how it will translate to televison is unclear.

Both the print and online versions were created by Mike Bender and Doug Chernack who say they intended to provide "a friendly place where everyone could come together and share their uncomfortable family moments," and they have the same content: Awkward, embarrassing and funny family photos that have been sent in by readers.
