Welcome to the Family TV Round-Up, a recap of all kid-friendly programming across the television universe. We sum up all of the news related to children's programming, as well as profile the people and shows that your kids, tweens and teens are talking about.
This week we begin with the launch of The Hub. As Kim Potts reported, the new kid-oriented network will premiere on October 10 at 6AM, replacing Discovery Kids. This will be a unique network as it's a joint venture between Discovery Communications and Hasbro Studios, makers of such toy lines as Transformers and G.I. Joe. In fact, new animated versions of those product lines, as well as those connected to Strawberry Shortcake, My Little Pony and Pound Puppies, will be featured on the cable outlet.
