"The comedy world lost a good man," Jon Stewart said. "... He was just one of those guys you loved to run into, because he was always a font of warmth and good humor." Stewart was speaking of his friend, stand-up comic Greg Giraldo, who passed away this Wednesday, September 29th. Giraldo was 44 years old, and left behind a wife and four children. On 'The Daily Show' (weeknights, 11PM ET on Comedy Central), Jon took a moment to mourn his friend, as the words "WE'LL MISS YOU, BROTHER" flashed onto the screen.Giraldo was beloved in the comedy world. He was well-known for his appearances as a judge on 'Last Comic Standing,' and his many appearances on various late night shows and Comedy Central specials. The comic's greatest strength was his unique brand of "insult comedy" -- which he displayed to hilarious effect at the roasts of various celebrities, including David Hasselhoff, Pamela Anderson and Joan Rivers.
